TID Research — The Tiny DeFi Think Tank Punching at Institutional Weight

Today in DeFi Research (TID Research) is a boutique crypto research firm launched in mid-2024 that produces institutional-grade analysis for DAOs, funds, and high-net-worth allocators. Despite having only ~340 followers, the team publishes deeply detailed, BlackRock-style reports covering yield strategies, tokenized RWAs, stablecoins, and governance. They also operate as active delegates in Arbitrum and Velodrome, and their flagship product — the DeFi Growth Index (DGI), a curated basket of high-conviction DeFi assets — has recently outperformed both ETH and BTC. Much of their public presence centers on long-form Twitter threads that preview their premium research on new or under-covered protocols.

The account is quietly trending across professional crypto circles after releasing a 40-page risk assessment on USDai, a new RWA-backed stablecoin collateralized by 99% U.S. T-bills and 1% AI infrastructure loans yielding around 10%. The thread gained 12,000+ views within a day and circulated widely among analysts, governance delegates, and crypto-native funds. With tokenized treasuries and AI-DeFi hybrids dominating end-of-2025 narratives, TID Research is increasingly seen as one of the few groups bringing TradFi-level rigor to on-chain products — enough to land them in recent “top accounts followed by crypto KOLs” lists despite their small follower base.

Kalshi: The Regulated Prediction Market Launching on Solana

Kalshi is a U.S.-based, CFTC-regulated prediction market platform that lets users trade binary yes/no contracts on real-world events—from elections and economic data to sports, weather, and crypto milestones like BTC price levels. Operating legally in all 50 states, it treats event contracts as financial instruments for hedging or speculation, settling at $1 for correct outcomes. Backed by over $1.5B from investors including a16z, Kalshi has surged in adoption, projecting $20B in 2025 volume (up 10x from 2024), boosted by API integrations, 3.5% yields on balances, and broker partnerships. Its regulated structure positions it as the bridge between TradFi and prediction markets, attracting both retail and institutional users.

Kalshi’s rapid rise in crypto follows its December 1, 2025 announcement that it’s tokenizing thousands of markets on Solana. Each market becomes its own SPL token, tradable directly in wallets like Phantom with instant, low-fee settlement and DeFi composability—such as using event positions as collateral. The system relies on DFlow to bridge off-chain orderbooks and Jupiter for liquidity routing, combining regulatory oversight with Solana’s high-volume rails. With over $2M in grants driving apps from AI oracles to structured strategies, and expansions to EVM chains and Axiom Exchange on the roadmap, Kalshi is scaling faster than rivals like Polymarket by pairing U.S. compliance with crypto-native speed. In a $28B annual prediction market industry, this “Powered by Kalshi” model signals a breakout phase for on-chain event trading.

The Collector Group — Solana TCG Project Blending Physical Packs with Blockchain

The Collector Group is a Solana-based project reimagining the trading card game (TCG) experience—especially Pokémon cards—by blending physical pack ripping with blockchain utility. Users buy real packs with SOL on collect.rip, watch them opened live, and instantly receive digital versions of their pulls in online binders for trading and showcasing.

Launched on December 1, 2025 via pump.fun as the $TCG token, the project builds on a team with a decade in e-commerce, over $20M in sales, and a broader $250M logistics network. With the mantra “Come rip with us,” they’re creating a tight collector community backed by giveaways, multisig liquidity, and plans to expand into sleeves, tins, and curated bundles.

$TCG is trending after a breakout debut—over $3M in day-one volume and a peak $1.3M market cap—driven by a flawless three-hour demo stream that ripped ~50 packs and showcased smooth tech, pulling in nostalgic fans and Solana traders.

Sooncoin ($SOON) — Community-Driven Memecoin on Bitcoin L2

Sooncoin ($SOON) is a community-owned memecoin on the Spark Bitcoin Layer 2 (L2) network, inspired by the crypto “soon” meme around Spark’s launch. Built natively on Bitcoin, it uses Flashnet—a Spark-powered DEX—for low-fee, instant, self-custodial trading. The project has no centralized team or VC allocations, with staking utilities and upcoming exchange listings planned. Current market cap sits around $1.5–2.5M, trading mainly on Luminex.

$SOON’s recent surge follows Spark’s “trenchable” activation on December 1, 2025, after a $200M Series A led by a16z, Paradigm, and Tether, fueling hype around Bitcoin’s first high-performance L2 for payments and DeFi.
